The people at Wild Willow Farm are there because they have a passion for what they do at the farm. They for sure don't do it for the pay. They are kind and appreciate any help they can get. The first day at the farm there wasn't just one thing we were working on. Majority of the tasks we're going to be doing are going to be done as a team. During our lunch break, my mentor left the tables for a while and came back with kale, onions, and a few potatoes. She made herself lunch with what she harvested. It shocked me how simple and easy it was. I'm hoping that later on I'll be able to prepare lunch with the crops of my choice. That is one of the things I'm looking forward to, but i'm not looking forward to working in the rain the next couple of days.
